癫痫是一种重要的神经疾病,人群发病率约为1%。我国癫痫患者总数近1000万,其中,耐药性癫痫(drug-resistant epilepsy, DRE)患者约占30%,尚无有效的临床药物。课题组采用在体脑电记录,免疫磁珠细胞分选,双光子钙成像,光纤钙信号记录和全细胞膜片钳等神经科学领域前沿技术探究癫痫等重大脑疾病的发生发展机制,我们重点关注颞叶性癫痫和脑中风伴发癫痫症状中胶质细胞与神经元、免疫细胞与胶质细胞互作的机制(Nat Neurosci, 2023;Nat Neurosci, 2025;Neuron, in revision;Cell, in revision)。具体包括但不限于以下四方面研究内容:
1) 研究颞叶性癫痫疾病中胶质细胞和神经元互作及其与癫痫进展之间的关系,以此为突破口寻找抗癫痫治疗的全新靶点;
2) 开展癫痫脑(颞叶性癫痫和脑中风伴发的癫痫等)等重大脑疾病中外周免疫细胞和中枢神经细胞(胶质细胞)互作的机制研究;
3) 外界环境刺激会诱导癫痫发生,其机制尚未明了。我们重点关注声音和光等外界环境刺激诱导癫痫发作的神经环路机制。
4) 癫痫常伴发有认知和情绪障碍,其共病机制尚不清楚。我们拟开展癫痫共患认知障碍及情感障碍的神经机制研究。
